The Haunted world of techno is a better place now – Australian titan Dep Affect contributes release number four, and when his name is on the sleeve, you know you’re in for something unique.
At first listen, these tracks are shiny incredibly groovy sub-130-bpm techno bangers with signature hooks, melodies, acid and bass throbs, each one a potential floor filler without a doubt. Once you’ve been lured into the sweetness though, Dep Affect hits hard, unleashes the upfront mentality of his hardcore descent, and the combination of both makes for anthemic quality.
Far from ready-made, “Thoughtsick” deserves to be duly appreciated!
